This is the new status page for the HP Jornada 720 Handheld PC.

The HP Jornada 720 PDA devices contain the following hardware:
- Intel Strong ARM SA-1110 206 MHz
- Intel Strong ARM SA-1111 Companion Chip
- Graphics: EPSON 135(0)6 Framebuffer (512k); Display resolution: 640x240x16
- Internal flash: Strataflash 28F128J3A, 32 MB (only with flash board!)
- Audio: Philips UDA 1344 over L3 interface (SA-1111)

Downloads
There is a new OpenEmbedded based release available at
http://handhelds.org/~chicken/jornada_720/oe.
Load the .jffs2 image as usual using "load root" in the bootloader. NOTE: Those images only work with a flash board!
Remaining issues
These issues are being addressed. Come back soon!
- Get the software modem going
- Battery life is not too good during zZz, better power management needed

This device is one of the first PDAs to run the Linux 2.6 kernel.
