The HP Jornada 56x PDA devices contain the following hardware:

- Audio: Philips UDA 1341 over L3 interface

Usability
If you don't need sound, IrDA and AC status (i.e. the device does not show when AC is connected)
then the Opie images are just made for you. Everything else is supported. Battery life during sleep
has been extended so you will probably have lots of fun with the following images:
Downloads
The Jornada 56x is officially supported by familiar as of version 0.8.2, load the .jffs2 image as usual using "load root" in the bootloader.
To install linux on the Jornada 56x, you need the following:
The rest of the installation is identical to the one of the H3xxx ipaq series.
The Jornada bootloader has no screen support, so you will only be able to access the bootloader using a serial cable/cradle! NOT USB!
The USB port can be used to set up a network connection once linux is running (like on the ipaqs).
