I have a 720.
Only a 128 MB flash card right now, but a 512MB is on the way.
Created two partitions:
1=9MB FAT (6)
2=119 EXT2
performed:
mount /dev/hde1 /mnt/jornada1
mount /dev/hde2 /mnt/jornada2
tar -zxvf hdg1-20021204.tar.gz -C /mnt/jornada1
tar -zxvf hdg2-20021204.tar.gz -C /mnt/jornada2
Tried it with and without the familiar directory.
Then umount the partitions.
Then go to the dos partition of the card,
run the hpcboot.exe app.
Select the \Storage Card\ directory for the image.
Boot it.
Shows Linux Penguin, then switches after 10 seconds to
What appears to be a landscape photo of Mars.
Mouse works by tapping anywhere on the screewn.
Clicking sides or clicking with Window Key gives me a menu
But no windows listed. Can't do anything.
Have to pull batteries to start over, otherwise hitting reset button just
gives a faded HP Invent logo.
BTW, using information from the following link:
http://homepage1.nifty.com/kyou-kyou/jornada/en/howto_install001.html
Any suggestions on what I'm missing?
Thanks,
