iPAQ 3650 and Intimate... far from working.

Hello,
I've been trying to install intimate, but I haven't succeeded... at
least not in 100%. I've been able to install the system, but not X, or
to be more precise window manager and on-screen keyboard.
I can login on the serial console, but since I can only access the net
thru the usb-net, and usb and serial are mutually exclusive, this
situation is far from being helpful.
I'm using a 512mb CF-card and Pi-Tech dual-cf sleeve.
Is the card too small (after installing, there is about 315mb of data on
it)?
Or has something changed form the time the release was published?
