I had bad experiences with CF cards. In my experience using them with
both the iPAQ and the Zaurus, they're long enough that you get an
awful lot of leverage. Put any pressure on them, and it all gets
exerted right where the card enters the device. I broke two receivers
that way.

I've been VERY happy with my Navman HP3000 sleeve. I've managed to
break the top off (and glue it back on), and all the internal screws
off, but I'm still happy with it. It makes a very compact package
which has seen many miles riding in the pocket of my bike pants.

Unfortunately, the Navman sleeve support seems not to be working in
recent kernels. When it works, though, the sleeve is simply another
serial port which gpsd interoperates with.
