proposed use of 2.4.21 as 3900 Intimate kernel

Hi,

For those interested, the work on making Intimate run
on 39xx series machines is going well, although a boot
loader issue arises with the --hh28 kernel. I'm
considering making the Debian kernel-source-2.4.21
package the basis for this version of Intimate
(2.4.21-rmk1-pxa1 to be specific). I would appreciate
any feedback on the advantages or disadvantages of
going with a strictly Debian based kernel vs. one of
the -hhxx family. It seems to me that using a
Debianized source package is more in line with the
"Debian way".
