Compaq 5400

Good Morning

I'm having problem with the brightness of my iPaq 5400 when I load opie
as the desktop.
It's not as bright as it should be. It's excellent when I load qpe.
Even when I set it to the highest setting in the Light and Power
Configuration, it dull. How do I get the maximum bright from the LCD.
