I2C is needed for H39xx and H5xxx audio.

I don't know why watchdog was turned on. We do not use it afaik.

Whatever filesystem used for the root partition must be available either
in the kernel or in the initrd so that the root partition can be
mounted.

The familiar kernel could be used to boot Intimate, if an appropriate
initrd was used. The initrd would have to be in cramfs format (or
possibly gzipped cramfs).
