RE: Insall over proxy

How do I make sure it is the same shell, I can enter the http_proxy command
when connected to serial from the pc but when I need to go back to USB it is
not there.

I cannot enter the command form the iPAQ because the "=" does not work on
the virtual keyboard.

This is driving me mad It just seems like one stumbling block after another.

I have done that. I just did

export http_proxy=http://ip.addr.of.host:3128

after setting up usb networking and before running the installation
script.

I think I did this from the serial console, as typing things on the
virtual keyboard is very slow. Anywhere should work, though, as long
as you start the installation script from the same shell so that it
sees the variable.
