I have the exact same problem with the same setup, ide-pcmcia adapter on
a ibm traverstar 2.5" hd. I have been looking at the commands aviliable
in the bootloader and I am starting to wonder if I can get the
bootloader to see the drive first before trying to boot intimate. So far
I have not got past this, so no intimate install.
I would be more the glad to try out any ideas that someone may have.
