Well, I'm a newbie to Intimate. Decided to try it out on my 256MB CF
card on impulse the other day, and I am having some serious problems
getting it to work.
Installation was fine. However, when it tries to install intimateboot,
I get this:
Installing intimateboot (0.2-2)
Configuring intimateboot...
Now.. let's have a look at those bootparams
No magic number found
No magic number found
Your linuxargs need to contain devfs=mount and init=/linuxrc.intimate
In order to correctly boot with this package installed.
Answering 'y' to the following question will set your bootparams to the
following:
noinitrc root=/dev/mtdblock3 init=/linuxrc.intimate console=ttySA0
devfs=mount
Would you like me to set your bootparams for you? [y/n]? y
Backing up /dev/mtdblock/1
32256+0 records in
32256+0 records out
No magic number found
Verifying bootparams...No magic number found
BAD :(
Something has gone wrong here...
Restoring your old params block...32256+0 records in
32256+0 records out
Ack Ack Ack...
Couldn't set params, and can't restore paramsblock - is it write protected?
Save this console log.. You'll want to mail it to jim@secret.org.uk
A copy of your params block was saved in /tmp/intimateboot.paramblk.bak
Done
I don't have a clue. Searched all over with little result. I'd
appreciate any help yall can provide.
Thanks in advance.
