cannot mount /dev/hda1

I installed intimate with no errors by following the instructions
at http://intimate.handhelds.org/install.html.

At the boot prompt I entered,
set linuxargs "noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock1 init=/linuxrc.intimate console=ttySA0"

I entered "boot" and got:

cardmgr[78]: + mount -v /dev/hda1 /mnt/hda
cardmgr[78]: + mount: Mounting /dev/hda1 on /mnt/hda failed: Invalid argument
cardmgr[78]: exiting
--------------------------------------------

The line "mount -v /dev/hda1 /mnt/hda" seems to be missing the
"-t reiserfs" argument .......

I can mount "mount -t reiserfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/hda" at the
command line without any problems.

Any suggestions?
