External VGA connection to projector and giving presentations

Hi,

as my ipaq is slowly coming up to production level, I wonder whether I
could give some presentations from my ipaq in the future. I know there
are (working) VGA cards for it, I think the Voyager one and one from HP.
But I wonder:

- it seem resolution/colors are quite limited, eg 65k @ 640x480 or
  256 @ 800x600, is that right ?
- has anybody experience with using this for presentations ? Is the
image quality sufficient ? - what about eg antialiasing ?
- does the new Voyager CF card work, and has it better specs ?
- would you just show images (eg png, ..) or are there nice/suitable
  presentations programs ?
- is it possible to remote control the ipaq via IR for such a
presentation ? Eg I have two IR mice, could I get those to work
with the ipaq directly (not using the receiver that comes with
  them) ?

I have both familiar/opie and intimate/X11 installed and available,
so the "platform" should not be a problem.

Also if you could advise me on which PCMCIA VGA card to buy (or not to buy) ..

Thanks in advance,
