Hello... specifically Chris :-)
Tried the new bootstrap you created, and the new install instructions.
I found that when the intimate-install script was executed, the PATH
variable seemed to be lost and it couldn't find debootstrap in
/usr/sbin. I modified the initrd, and reloaded it with the new script
and all seems to be going ok for the moment... it's downloading &
verifying packages as I type. All I did was add the specific path to
debootstrap which made it /usr/sbin/debootstrap. I noticed also that
the error message that follows is missing the t in strap.
I'll let you know more as I go...
Hmmm... seems that as I was typing the rest of my message below, the
process stopped complaining that it couldn't find chroot. I'll see if I
can fix that now too.
Thanks for the work you've done so far. I'm not a Linux newbie, but I
recently found the balls (so to speak) to nuke pocketPC from my iPAQ. I
was successful enough to go and by the pcmcia sleeve and a 2G Toshiba
hard drive with the intention of loading Intimate and Opie on top of it.
