The best proposed solution that I saw to the Windows CE question was to
write a routine to back up the PocketPC files to the card prior to booting
intimate, and then restore them later.
You can do this manually in PocketPC 2000, and I think 2002 as well, using
the built-in Compaq software. Of course, the card has to be VFAT or
something a Windows OS will recognize, and there has to be enough storage
for that and intimate.
It'd be nice to see a procedure posted on handhelds.org for that. If you
guys get intimate booting off of VFAT or FAT16 partitions, I can play around
with this...maybe do backup to the SD card in the newer models.
