No, we're really not. I didn't just make up what I told you.

The base WinCE image fits into ROM with a couple of apps, but most of
the apps (especially any additional PocketPC software you've installed)
and all of the data are stored in the RAM of an iPAQ - there's no way
all that stuff could fit into a 32MB ROM model, let alone a 16MB model.
If you don't believe me, look in the Settings section, somewhere in
there you can set a slider to balance the RAM for use as storage.

I agree, but I don't know what bootldr's behaviour on that is - I don't
have PocketPC installed on my iPAQ.

I would prefer it if you didn't vent your frustration at me, I didn't
design your iPAQ, I didn't build it, I didn't sell it to you and I
didn't sell Intimate to you. It is what it is. Handhelds.org isn't a
huge project, bootldr is mostly written by one guy at HP. Intimate is a
tiny project, there are about 4 people working on it right now when they
can spare the time. Having sat idle for most of this year, it's great
that Intimate is being worked on again at all.

I appreciate that it's frustrating that the iPAQ isn't doing what you
thought it could do for you - I feel exactly the same way about mine,
and I'm fixing the problems as fast as I am able.

Well, then I suggest you look at the page on handhelds.org that covers
mailing lists, there is one for the bootldr, or there's the
#handhelds.org IRC channel. Like you said, you weren't even booting
Intimate when it was happening.

Cheers,
