The best (only) place to get the ipaq kernel source is from the cvs
repositary on handhelds.org.
The CVS server details are on the 'Sources' page (one click from the main
page).
for the record...
export CVSROOT=:pserver:anoncvscvs.handhelds.org:/cvs
cvs login
(password anoncvs)
cvs -z3 co linux/kernel
Once you've got the sources down onto your machine, you'll want one of the
configs from arch/arm/def-configs (within the kernel source tree).
That should get you going with a working kernel.
As for the alsa bits... I'd be quite surprised if there's not debian
packages for at least the utils... I suspect you'll need to compile the
drivers from source tho.
Let me know how it goes... I _really_ want some simple speech recognition
for linux
