How to install ALSA on Intimate?

Hello,

I am running Intimate on top of Familiar with a microdrive on an iPAQ
(Linux intimate 2.4.17-rmk4).
I would like to install the ALSA sound drivers. I don't have the
kernel source on my iPAQ.
Is there an ALSA package that I can install?
If there isn't, I suppose that I need to build the kernel from source
to be able to then build the ALSA drivers. Where can I get the kernel
source from?
I tried the 2.4.19 standard kernel distribution, but it seemed to be
missing a driver/ssi directory. I'll try to comment that out and see if
I can build it...
For the curious, we've ported a speech recognition engine to Intimate,
and I'm now trying to hook it up to the audio. We're using ALSA on our
desktops, and I read that it now has support for the iPAQ, so it seems
the easiest way forward.
  Any tips appreciated.

Happy hacking,

  Erland
