If you add a script into /etc/init.d/ and symlink accordingly into
/etc/rc2.d, then automating cardmgr is a doddle. The only reason I can
see why you might not want to run cardmgr from familiar is because it
means that you must have flash mounted, and since jffs2 stores the
filesystem tables in ram, it eats a fairly large chink of ram.

I've tried out the debian cardmge packages, and they're not up to
scratch for use on the iPAQ really. What would probably be best would be
to convert the pcmcia ipkg into a .deb and add it to the intimate debian
feed. There's a howto on the intimate site for converting packages.

How would you feel about doing this?
