Hi,
I recently (less than two weeks ago) installed intimate "on top of" familiar0.5.2. The installation went smoothly enough, but I have noticed a few annoying things:
* When /etc/init.d/ssh2 is being run (via a link from /etc/rc2.d/S98sshd2), the script never exits. In fact, the only way I can get X to start is to rename S99x to S98X, so that X is starting before /etc/init.d/ssh2 is called. Once I do this, I can open a terminal, and execute "ps auwx." This tells me that the sshd2 daemon has been started, but that /etc/init.d/rc 2 is still running, and is, in fact, waiting for /etc/init.d/ssh2 to complete. Interestingly, if I attempt to connect via ssh2 to the IPAQ, this causes the /etc/init.d/ssh2 script to terminate, but any further connection attempt fails. Anyone have any idea what is happening?
* How can we use "better" fonts for the intimate X server? The fonts used by X on the familiar side are much cleaner.
* Similarly, how can I use the "xstroke" that familiar is currently using (as well as the xkbd)? Simply copying these over to the "intimate side" doesn't work, as the familiar versions almost surely use different shared libraries. (Of course this question can by applied to almost any app whose familiar version works "better" than the corresponding intimate app.)
* Finally, is there any way to get the screen to display in "portrait" rather than "landscape" mode? Again, familiar has "xrandr" which will rotate the display, but I can't find anything with similar functionality in intimate.
Thanks in advance for any help that you can give.
