I've got one of the 5Gb Toshiba PCMCIA drives and an ancient Xircom
"CreditCard Ethernet Adapter IIps" on my 3650 with a dual-slot sleeve.
The hard drive is often not recognized on a reboot. Pulling and
re-inserting the drive usually changes its mind and lets me boot
Intimate.

The Intimate install was only about 180Mb or so, but it was missing
some things I find essential such as perl/Tk. I'm now up to about
230Mb and climbing and that'll go a lot higher when I start storing
actual data on the drive. I think I'd be quite cramped in 340Mb.
