Usability, finding info, etc

So I'm poking around at my new Intimate setup and noticing things I
have questions about.

First thing I noticed is that lxdoom seems to require a real keyboard.
Is it possible to actually play a game with just the ipaq buttons?
This is clearly the most important reason to have this $1000 handheld
toy, right? :-)

I notice that the handwriting recognition is slightly different from
what I had on my old Familiar setup. I had a PostScript cheat sheet
for the old fscrib application, and it helped a lot. Is there a
similar document for Xstroke?

I see I've got perl and gcc. I think I'll try building perl/Tk.
Anybody tried this before? Is 64Mb total ram + swap enough?
