I think I need a bit of help finalizing the installation of intimate on
a familiar 0.5 with a dual pcmcia sleeve which has a 1g microdrive in
it.
The packages all download, networking gets setup from my familiar files,
and most of the debs come down. It seems tools and libs are missing and
apt reports a lot of 404 errors or others as the process goes on.
The final statement of the installer is to hand modify linuxargs to
point init=/linuxrc.intimate. ON 0.5 I see that this is set in the
/boot/params file and by default init is set to /linuxrc. When I change
this to /linuxrc.intimate, I don't get intimate booting off of the
microdrive at all. It just goes straight into familiar with icewm
running there.
What are the steps to add this to the init line? And is editing
/boot/params and adding it to the existing init like the correct thing
to do? The /boot/params file looks like this by default on my familiar
installation:
set linuxargs "noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock/1 init=/linuxrc
console=ttySA0"
If I change init=/linuxrc.intimate as the script requires, I don't see
intimate booting here at all but all the files/libs/debs are installed.
Thanks for any suggestions.
