Query about RSYNC

Hi,

I am having a problem with the installation script for Intimate.
When I run the script everything is OK until it gets to the part
about : Would you like to sync with the server?

The first time I tried it it told me that the host
intimate.handhelds.org
was unknown. I looked up the man page for rsync and it told me
to set the RSYNC_PROXY environment variable. I then set this variable
using

export RSYNC_PROXY=mywebproxy.eei.ericsson.se:873

Is this even correct, i'm not sure about the port number???
When I ran the script again it comes back with error 403 forbidden. I
have
been onto our network support people to see if the firewall has port 873
closed
but they have told me that they have tried to connect to
intimate.handhelds.org
on port 873 from a machine supposedly not behind the firewall and are
getting the
same forbidden access message. They suggested that maybe the intimate
site
intimate.handhelds.org is giving this message as it might be using a
different
port or something. I would not put too much stock in what out network
admin
guys say so if anyone has any ideas as to what might be wrong could
you please let me know.
