D-Link DMF-560 help; Plus many more unanswered questions

After running around as if I was in one big easer egg hunt I have several
questions about getting my iPAQ usable.

Is this FTP site the correct site to go for the latest familiar builds?
ftp://lorien.handhelds.org/pub/linux/feeds/demo/

Has anyone gotten the D-Link DMF-560 card to work? This has been brought up
under http://www.handhelds.org/z/wiki/IpaqHardwareCompatibility but really
there seems to be no up to date information there.
Here is the message I am getting when inserting the card.
> eth0: pcnet_reset_8390() did not complete.
> pcnet_cs: unable to read hardware net address for io base 0xf6000300
> bitsy_pcmcia_configure_socket: socket=0 vcc=50 vpp=0 reset=0
> cardmgr[67]: get dev info on socket 0 failed: No such device
This all may just be because I have a dual PCMCIA backpack and there is no
module included in the .jffs2. Which brings me to my next question...

There seems to be several modules not present in the task*.jffs2 root image.
Why? In particular h3600_backpaq.o, serial_cs.o etc..

Is there a way to get files to the palmtop using xmodem after installation?
Setting up a serial ppp connection is real hard when vi is not included as
well as pppd.

The documentation to install familiar is way out of date. How can I help in
getting this current or am I going to the wrong URL
http://familiar.handhelds.org/familiar/releases/v0.4/install/H3600/install.h
tml?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Rich
