Just to confirm this..
SSH won't allow you to login unless it can resolve your IP to a hostname.
Fix DNS, add the host to /etc/hosts, or edit the config file and disable
ReverseMapping... Any of those should fix it.

There's an option in the sshd config file called "REVERSE MAP" or
something like that. Its set to TRUE (or maybe its YES). I don't have
access to my ipaq ATM. Change it to FALSE and restart sshd. I think
this will fix it. At least it fixed it for me.
I believe the config file is located in /etc/ssh/sshd_config (or some
place similar).
