intimate install experience

Hi,

let me share my installation experiences before I go to bed. I did not
attempt to fix anything of this yet, feel free to offer suggestions
before I bug you in IRC later.

Sorry, this is long, but I guess I cannot hide anything from you :)

I am installing from current familiar unstable, over modem, took
about 3 hours with 56k.

* ntpdate said it couldn't find any suitable servers.

* mkreiserfs made my ppp connection (ttySA0) go away several times, I
had to format the HD on my Laptop finally.

* rsync'ing went fine.

* The debian.org servers had some problems (that is common for me on
my other machines), but with intimate, there was no easy way to
just try to run apt-get update again (it could not load some
package files). Thus, the rest of the package install looked like
this (what was left in my rxvt buffer):

[...]

OK.. onto the final stage..
This is where we install the intimateboot package and set your bootparams correctly

Now.. let's have a look at those bootparams

Current args:
bootldr: set linuxargs "noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock/3 init=/linuxrc console=ttySA0"

Your linuxargs need to contain devfs=mount and init=/linuxrc.intimate
In order to correctly boot with this package installed.
Answering 'y' to the following question will set your bootparams to the
following:
noinitrc root=/dev/mtdblock3 init=/linuxrc.intimate console=ttySA0 devfs=mount

Would you like me to set your bootparams for you? [y/n]? y

Backing up /dev/mtdblock1

512+0 records out
Verifying bootparams...OK :)
Done.

All done.. shutting down installer
Installer cleaning up...
bash-2.03#

Okay. I can fix this myself:

bash-2.03# apt-get -f install
bash: apt-get: command not found

Argh. I call apt-get with the full path, but it cannot find its
libapt-pkg-libc6.2-3-2.so.3.1.

I feel too lazy to set the paths by hand, so I reboot, hoping that
it fixes itself.

The kernel comes up, on the iPAQ I see:

[Tux pic here]
Setting unmounting /boot...
Setting up devices nodes...

Then it sits there. I try to ppp in, but it says:
[...]
Connect: ppp0 <--> dev/ttyS0
Serial line is looped back.
Connection terminated.

Okay, minicom it is:

INIT: version 2.78 booting
VFS: Busy inodes after unmount. Self-destruct in 5 seconds. Have a nice day...
