Greetings all...
I just finished isntalling Intimate last night, and since it was late, only
got to play with it for a few minutes. Being completely new to Intimate (and
still fairly new to Familiar), I apologize if I ask a question whose answer
is obvious to everyone else...
After having completed the installation last night, I tried to shut down
and/or suspend the iPaq. shutdown didn't work (I didn't spend any time
poking around the filesystem looking for it), so I pressed the iPaq's on/off
switch (at the top of the unit), and sure enough, the screen went dark. When
I pressed the on/off switch again, the screen lit up, and looked just like
it did before. The only problem is that when I tried to open an X terminal
window, or the on-screen keyboard, nothing happened. What I'd therefore like
to know is:
- Is this normal? What do I need to do to get the iPaq to open these
applications/respond (and if I can't get it to respond, what can I do to get
the iPaq back into a more responsive state without breaking anything)?
- How can I safely suspend the unit from Intimate?
- How can I safely shut down the unit from Intimate?
Any information about the questions above would be greatly appreciated...
Cheers...
