mmap problems with apt-get update

Hi,

I am trying to use intimate with my 128MB Card and blkmtd.

/ hda1: 112 MB
swap hda2: 16 MB

insmod blkmtd-arm.o device=/dev/hda1
mount -n -t jffs2 /dev/mtdblock/4 /mnt/hda1

It seems I have enough space on disk. (I will not install the development
environment on disk but on NFS)

Everything worked great until "apt-get update" was called. I get the following
error:

  sh-2.05# apt-get update
  Get:1 http://http.us.debian.org unstable/main Packages [1297kB]
  Get:2 http://http.us.debian.org unstable/main Release [81B]
  Get:3 http://http.us.debian.org unstable/contrib Packages [27.8kB]
  Get:4 http://http.us.debian.org unstable/contrib Release [84B]
  Get:5 http://http.us.debian.org unstable/non-free Packages [56.3kB]
  Get:6 http://http.us.debian.org unstable/non-free Release [85B]
  Fetched 1295kB in 3m7s (6915B/s)
  Reading Package Lists... Error!
  E: Couldn't make mmap of 6291457 bytes - mmap (22 Invalid argument)
  W: Unable to munmap
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

I can now boot with or without my microdrive. When I have booted from microdrive
I can also run "top" or any other commands, but apt-get update fails. The
system does not seem to swap! And the Filesystem is only 25% full.

Any ideas?

May the source be with you. You can still escape the Gates of Hell. Use Linux.
This is Linux Country. On a quiet night, you can hear Windows reboot.
It's time to close the Windows.
