PDA SUPPORT Working Starting to get better. But still a little slow. It is actaullay faster in portrait mode than landscape. Two buttons for menus, cam + power. [WWW]Download
PHONE APPLICATION WIP Making and receiving calls works with openmoko-dialer and gsmd as backend. Sending sms is not working yet. Phone suspend/resume on incomming call should work.

FUNCTION STATUS COMMENTS
PDA SUPPORT Working A great image, but lacks a few applications, like a console and a webrowser. They are both being developed, but still not usable. An IM is on it's way. [WWW]Download
PHONE APPLICATION WIP Trolltech decided to release the phonelibs as GPL. We have both sms and dialer working with HTC Universal. It's getting better and better. We have now also modem suspend/resume working on incomming call/sms. I have started to use it as my main phone now. No complaines so far. I havent managed to send/receive MMS yet, AFAIK the wap stack isent included.

GPE / x11

FUNCTION STATUS COMMENTS
PDA SUPPORT Working Works well as a PDA. [WWW]Download
PHONE APPLICATION WIP Making and receiving calls works with openmoko-dialer and gsmd as backend. Sending sms is not working yet. SMS is not included in the source yet, some patches exists, but havent tested them yet.

OPIE

FUNCTION STATUS COMMENTS
PDA SUPPORT Working Works well as a PDA. [WWW]Download Opie is probably one of the GUI that works best with the HTC Universal for now. The only thing thats lacks support is system sounds. You are able to play mp3 and and such stuff.
PHONE APPLICATION TBD There are no plans for making a phone application for Opie, but i have added Openmoko-dialer to it wich runs with Xqt2. The status is the same as for x11 and Openmoko image.
