"Insomnia" release: 2nd October 2006
The latest tested release of binaries for LifeDrive Linux is codenamed Insomnia. You can browse the files at
git.hackndev.com/releases. See the How-To for instructions on which to download and how to use them.
Release notes
Do not reset while in standby! Wake up the device first. Otherwise you will get into an unresettable state and will need to either wait until the battery goes flat or reconnect it. Use this software at your own risk.GPE tries to turn off the backlight on boot. Turn up the brightness in the screen settings applet.

First grab linux/kernel26 from
handhelds.org CVS.

Replace arch/arm/tools/mach-types with the
latest version.

A couple of hacks to get around freezes. These could possibly break some functionality, it would be better to fix these problems another way.

Now change to the root kernel source directory (ie kernel26) and unpack attachment:lifedrive-mach-stuff.tgz.

Finally grab the kernel config: attachment:config.gz.

Use the kernel command-line: mem=32m lpj=4900000
