Introduction

This Wiki is a whiteboard for the project to run Linux on the HP iPAQ hx4700 series PDAs. hx4700 is one of the flagship ports of Handhelds.org, suitable for everyday, production use. In large part success of the port is due to involvement of developers from [WWW]SDG Systems.

The port is based on the 2.6 Linux kernel and now officially supported by [WWW]Familiar 0.8.4. There are also "starter kits" available at [WWW]http://sdgsystems.com/pub/ipaq/hx4700/starterkit/, as well as [WWW]images with additional support directly from the port maintainers.
