Graphics problem (+ installing Windows on a CD-less TC1000?)

Hello,

I know it's a bit off-topic, at least the bottom part, but I don't know
where else to turn to.

I have bought a TC1000 from someone who was running Windows XP Tablet
Edition on it. I started experimenting with installing Gentoo over my
network and succeeded.

I now run into a problem with the graphics (at random instants, three or
four shakey vertical lines appear and the whole display seems a bit
blurred, it goes away when pressing a key in an xterm or in general when
something changes the display (e.g. the clock's minute value increasing,
but NOT moving the mouse). I only get this in "graphics" mode (nvidia
and nv driver), not in console mode (80x25 and some other).

I would like to find out if I am misconfiguring something X-wise, or
that these problems were already on the WinXP install (I can't recall
having that problem and I did work with the WinXP for a couple of
hours).

So maybe someone can shed some light on my problem OR tell me if it is
possible to do a Windows XP installation over the network (or in some
other way?)

I would really get this sorted out, because with the screen blurring out
on me, the TC1000 is not really *that* useful (I was planning on using
it as an ebook reader)

Thanks!
