Hello,
to the hibernation:
I run 2.6.21 Gentoo-patched kernel (r4).
$ cat /sys/power/state
gives me this:
standby mem disk
Note that so far I only tested the following
from console (I didn't have the guts to test that
from X ;-)
# echo -n standby > /sys/power/state
seems to be working quite fine (screen blanks but
stays on, power button blinks, tablet wakes up ok
after power button "press").
# echo -n mem > /sys/power/state
had quite terrible result: display went all gray,
power button started to blink but when pressed, gray
vertical bars appeared on the display, intensifying
slowly to bright white (and the tablet was dead, of course).
# echo -n disk > /sys/power/state
seemed OK, too, at first. Display switched off, power button
stopped glowing, silence. When I "pressed" the power "button",
bios came on (I thought it just shut down), but then it apparently
came back from hibernation and I was on the console. Good so far,
but then I realized that keyboard is completely dead. But, the
tablet worked --- I have the side-keyboard configured and it reacted
alright to the keys. Still, the keyboard is dead, plugging it out and
back again doesn't help. Maybe it's because the keyboard is on USB
in fact?
That's all so far, if anyone can give me some clue, I'd be glad.
Regards,
vencik
