hibernation partition?

Greetings -- I'd like to clear up some space on my XP partition, and
wonder whether pagefile.sys and hiberful.sys can be moved to a
partition, as opposed to a file. Would be great if say we could use
Linux swap for pagefile.sys.

More pressing issue is the hibernate. While the pagefile can be
moved/spread across disks, hiberfil.sys wants to live on C:, which I
need to clean. On my other Dell laptops, there used to be a hibernate
partition, and there're many references to phdisk.exe which creates it
for Phoenix BIOSes -- of which TC1000 has one. Phoenix website refers
to the manufacturers, and Compaq's setup doesn't contain phdisk.

I got lphdisk in SuSE and tphdisk -- the former didn't run, the latter
didn't have effect.

Does TC1000 support hibernate partition?
