tc1k works! kinda....

Thanks for your great help David and Vadim. I got the driver working on
Buntu.
It had to do with the order of the modules loading on the Tc1000. Cool
script
too David although at least now I have it functioning without having to run
the script.

But yes, I have another bothersome question. For some reason after I add
the
tc1000 pen to the "server layout" section at the bottom of my xorg.conf, it
causes
Gnome to get angry and fight with the so called "Gnome settings daemon."
Once I add
it though it works as a pointer along side my mouse. But unfortunately it
kills
all my settins and customizations because the GSD isn't running.

According to the readme along side the tc1k driver, gnome likes to turn on
mouse
acceleration after launching and with the pen, since its an absolute
pointer, it cannot
go for the acceleration and this is what causes the problem. Now I've tried
various
adjustments to my xorg.conf, such as referring to the mouse as the
"CorePointer" but it hasn't
helped any.

Its possible this isn't even the problem, however once I hash out (#) the
tc1k driver
everything seems to work normally again. Any thoughts?
