Which should get the same results (for 20 minutes delay) as
xset dpms 0 0 20
but that doesn't turn off the display.
You can try this out quickly as:
xset dpms 0 0 1
and see what happens (or use "xset dpms force off").
And on my system, I can't switch away from the nvidia X driver to go to a text
window. The system hangs.
I'm using vesafb-tng, which works great with the "nv" X driver.
