Ah, this works fine, for me. Yup, we'll need the applet button soon,
but this will make the tablet usable without the keyboard (for those of
us who are ipaq xstroke trained, at least ;-)
I was poking about in the Gnome applet code - they could use an option
for the 'Launcher' that does the x-single-instance thing - it'd be nice
for xvkbd, for example. Hmm, and the 'drawer' could use a 'transparent
drawer' variant, that show the icon of (and actions of) one of the
encased applets, with an extra context menu entry for opening the draw
and selecting a different applet ...
So many ideas, so little coding time!
