It's not debian that makes it work: it's the script from
linux-tablet-pc.dhs.org:

Drop that in /etc/init.d, with appropriate startup symlinks.

Thanks for the script. I'm tweaking it a bit - Anyone know how to shut off
the wireless? the libforms based lvnet tool has an option for shutting of
the radio (the biggest power sucker, I'm sure) but that's not scriptable,
nor does it shut the card down completely (the light on the front remains
on). iwconfig doesn't seem to have an option for shutoff.
Also, anyone have a clue on how to shut of the backlight and/or LCD
completely? 'xset dpms force off' seems to basically do a screen blank -
there's still glowing around the edges.
