Starting from afresh! Can someone steer me in the correct direction to proceed from scratch?

Hello there, I have an RX3700 which has served me well for 2 or so years
but am happy to say that I would like to move on and build a stable
linux distro on it so that I can once again use it but with my fedora 7
& 8 machines.

Can someone tell me where to start from scratch. Bearing in mind I no
longer have the leads and accessories that came with it so can it be
done via Wifi or Bluetooth... or maybe via SD card?
