tzbishop i'd like to ask some questions but I'm leaving (goin' to bed) in
a few moments. So, I'd like you to post the answer on
tzbishop.wordpress.com (any post and I'll see it) or send me an email
(tzbishop2k_at_yahoo.es). Thank you very very very much
tzbishop I'm a bit afraid of running Linux on my rx3715. As I have been a
Linux user for 3 yrs, i'd like to test the system but I wouldn't like to
turn my iPaq into an useless device. So, I'd like to know what'll happen
when I run haret.exe from iPaq FIle Store. Will it delete my Win Mobile
OS or cause any damage to the device?
tzbishop I have a 2GB SD card...
tzbishop I saw that Linux/rx3715 now supports Wi-Fi and some bluetooth
(yet I don't need it very much). I'd like to know if it would be
possible to connect to surf on the internet through my home Wireless
network with Linux on iPaq. I would like to know if PIM and the others
apps as a general thing are usable (internet browser, email). And I would
like to know if I suddenly want to come back to Win Mobile to take a
photo, for example. Will it be possible
tzbishop THe most important: My palm is going to "die" if I run Linux on
it, for example, or win mobile and Linux can live peacefully on my rx3715?
tzbishop thank you very much

Hello tzbishop,

No linux wont kill your IPAQ because you boot into linux from windows
using a utility called haret0.4.7 grab romans distro from

http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqRX3715

and give it a go. I have had wireless networking going. But to be
honest we have came a long way since that linux 2.6.18 and now we are at
2.6.20, we have to finish off power management and battery monitoring and
bluetooth but it is getting more stable for the rx3715.

GPE is the user app bundle that are in romans image, It is a good
collection of tools. But get started, give it a go, subscribe to the
mailing list and get ready for the next testing release which will be
mostly complete.

Feel free to ask questions and have a lot fun
