hey Khyle,

You totally need to put the gpe on a ext2 filesystem, not a fat one,
(dev filesystem and /lib/ require links)

I ended up sticking the mmc card into a hpprinter and patitioning it.

however you are using windows.. ok just put a recent copy of ubuntu
live into your cdrom drive and reboot (or use partition magic) which
should give you gparted the gnome partition editor. then tar -zxvf gpe-
into your new partition, no symbolic link problems now..

remember to update you default.txt

seems like hard work a!, it's totally worth the effort.
