I agree that the lists don't work so well for the ports with a less active community.
I've given the kernel-discuss list archives a look and i'll look into it with more
depth later, but a lot of it is hard to understand without reading the threads from
the start or/and without extensive knowledge of the kernel specifics being discussed
so going to take some time to digest.

Well i've looked into helppping but the developers materials and the 'starting point'
for people interested in contributing could be
clearer.http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/DeveloperDocuments is the only site i
could find quickly and that's mostly orientated around kernel work and setting up the
development enviroment, where as to beginners maybe more confident working outside
the kernel. Maybe documents on making mini-distro's would be more useful and
tutorials and step by step guides to get people started which they could vary for
there port.

battery monitoring and more. This will help the cause)
The SD card and LED's are working already in the rx3715 port i think but it would be
interesting to know what the 'and more' is. Could you maybe post a link to the
mailing list thread. (the mailman archives)
> Things are moving, but slowly. With only one person working on this it can't be
helped. If you own an rx3xxx and have time to hack kernel or OpenEmbedded it is your
DUTY to help. (but only if you want to)
I would like to help but that depends on time and how easy the documentation is to
understand (and how much of it there is to help). But i would like to contribute when
i get some spare time (but can't be sure i'll be able to). Would be nice if the new
developers information was more easily found on the home page of the handhelds wiki.
> Thanks Pablo for mirroring the mini's however i think its time we sorted out some
new ones. Roman has done loads of work for us and we now have working Blue tooth and
working WIFI (how cool is that?) anyway they are well outta date now and need to get
sorted ;P
If you could put some links on the mailing list with guides for making a mini distro
and what new features (and where to find more) to include.
Whats this about working wifi? I've heard it was working on an other port using the
same chip but hadn't heard it was working with the rx3715 yet. Would be great news if
it is now. Any more information?
Could the devlopers on the list possibly say how they started getting into the port
and the guides and ways they learnt how to port and develop for the rx3715
Thank you Pablo for hosting the mini distro :)
Thanks
Daniel
