G'day Warren et al.
Roman has started submitting patches to the Handhelds (HH) kernel.
kernel discussion has moved to the HH kernel-dev mailing list.
The HH kernel (based on 2.6.18) compiles and boots (I haven't tested
anything other than this yet).
Checkout or export from the HH kernel CVS if you wanna compile and test for
yourself.
People working on the HH kernel seem to be working on getting the asic3
support added to Linus' kernel. (For us that means half the buttons, the
MMC/SD slot, LEDs, battery monitoring and more. This will help the cause)
Things are moving, but slowly. With only one person working on this it can't
be helped. If you own an rx3xxx and have time to hack kernel or
OpenEmbedded it is your DUTY to help. (but only if you want to)
The gmail spam filter seems to work well for me... but I agree some kind of
fix needs to be found for this. A previous post by Paul, had some
suggestions about complaining to the relevant list admin.
Any investors in "Chef Selections" need to be spanked by their respective
mothers! (If your own mother is unavailable, I will volunteer mine)
Rod.
