So much spam

Where has it all come from? Can only members post (in which case the source of the
spam can be blocked) or is this a list where anyone can post? If so someone really
should request that we limit posting on the list to members only.

Is there any work on-going on the port as this list has gotten really quiet since the
spam started (which i think is a sign that this spam has reached a point that it's
effecting the project quite a bit now detering people from getting involved). The
wiki page has been been quiet too lately when i've checked periodically.

I hope development picks up again and the spam on the list vanishes.
