Ok im not quite sure whats going on here but just to let you know that a few
things:
Haret is our boot loader for the time being.
Since our Kernel now supports SD memory access you can already boot a system
'direct' from SD.
That the mini-distros on the wiki are a bit outta date I think that you will
have to take a mini distro and replace its kernel image with the latest one.
Romans latest kernel image with battery level and blue tooth support have
not been properly tested, as far as I know nobody has got it working yet.
(but then i dont think anybody has put much effort into trying).
If you want to build a system onto a partition on your SD card and get haret
to boot off of this instead of the cackhanded method in some of our mini
distros then there is no reason why you cannot do this, I have myself and a
few other have succesfuly acomplished this with no problems.
My irc nick is og01 and i can be found on #rx3715 on freenode.net if you
want help
Synce will only work while the PDA is booted into windows NOT linux.
While the PDA is booted into linux you must use normal PC to PC file
transfer protocols such as NFS or Samba.
Although very usable, until a kernel patch for power managment is created
linux cannot be used as a long term replacement for windows mobile. Without
Standby mode the Ipaq will drain too much power!
Our only real developer is away for a long time, We are desperatly in need
of one!
