I'm still trying to get linux up and running on my Yakumo Delta 300
GPS (same as Mio 168). I completed these steps:
- I've setup two partitions on my 512MB Kingston SD card: One fat16
and one ext2. I've unpacked the root filesystem - downloaded at the
rover project page - on the second partition.
- I've downloaded the other files from the project site (haret,
default.txt, initrd and zImage) and unpacked them on my storage card
(so the first partition).
- I've changed the default.txt to change the mtype to 493
- I patched the linux ipaq driver to support connecting to my Yakumo device
- I've setup and run synce to be able to connect to my pda
- I ran haret, logged in with telnet and the haret console comes up.
- I choose "run" in haret, the penguin comes up, the thermometer goes
red, so do the eyes of the penguin, and then the screen slowly fades
to white.
The last lines on my terminal:
HaRET(1)# Physical kernel address: a0008000
Preloader physical/virtual address: a361b000
Physical initrd address: a0408000
Goodbye cruel world ...
After that, nothing happens.
Am I close? What am I doing wrong?
Greetz,
JeDi
