Hi Paul,

Thanks a lot for your help.. Commented out a few other statements and
finally got it to work!!

I find it queer though.. that my colleague who tried it in his Redhat system
got it working instantly.. he just had to compile and install opie and it
worked! However, I am using Ubuntu.. I wonder if that's what caused the
difference!

anyway it worked! phew!
