Ah-ha! I did not realise that Opie/Qt could not emulate X for programmes that needed it. This is a shame since I prefer Opie to GPE and could not see a descent Email nor webbrowser for Opie (Opiemail is not there?). Sorry for the late reply - I was on holiday.

I do not know if this has any bearing on the problem, but last night I also did an ipkg install gcc, & I think this installed a library. Although, I could not find it.
