Opie features on a qtek 9000

Hi,

I'm running opie on a qtek 9000 and so far I really like opie. However,
there are some things the qtek 9000 device supports but as far as I know
opie doesn't. Unfortunately, those things are pretty much why I bought
the thing in the first place so getting them to work is essential. I
think all the stuff I want is supported by the linux kernel but just
lacks some application so I would expect it to be solvable somehow. Want
I want to get working is a GPRS connection to the internet (for ssh
connections and e-mail) over the simcard I've put into the device. It
would be nice to also have phone support but this is not essential at all.
Anyone knows if this is possible and if yes, how to make it happen?
